Burger buns with sourdough


200 g Flour
200 g Sourdough starter
50 g Extra virgin olive oil
180 milligrams Water
5 g Salt


In a bowl or an electric mixer, mix the sourdough starter in little pieces with the water until it has dissolved well. Add all other ingredients, knead till you obtain a smooth homogeneous dough and then form it into a ball. Leave the dough to rise in a lightly greased bowl covered with clingfilm. Once the dough has doubled in size (approximately after 4-6 hours), turn it onto a lightly floured surface and roll it out 2 cm thick. Use a round biscuit cutter or a cup to cut bun shapes and place them, well spaced out, on a baking tray. Let them rest for 2 more hours. Bake in the oven at 180° C for 20-25 minutes.
