Great Burdock

Da secoli è coltivata dai contadini giapponesi e la sua radice è tra le verdure invernali più usate in giappone. La nostra bardana è ottenuta con il metodo di conservazione tradizionale: la radice viene tagliata in sottili schegge, quindi lasciata seccare al sole. si prepara lasciandola a bagno una mezz'ora e poi aggiungendola a stufati di verdure o a zuppe.

For centuries it has grown by Japanese farmers and it is one of the most popular winter vegetables in Japan. Our Burdock is obtained according the traditional conservation method : the root is cut into thin slivers, and then left to dry in the sun.

Tech notes

Burdock root.

Store in a cool, dry place away from light and heat.

Cover the root with water, and let boil gently for 5 minutes. Drain the water and Burdock is ready for use.
